OLIKA Publishing Ltd. started in 2007.

OLIKA means "different" in Swedish and OLIKA is different in three ways: 

1. Our stories mirror contemporary society. The children´s every-day reality shows a magnificant diversity in ways of being and ways of living. By broadening the scope of children´s literature and include new ways of living more children will be able to identify and build a solid self andesteem.

2. Our stories contribute to challenging and broadening the narrow gender stereotypes so often found in children´s literature. We offer "gender check" as an added quality for all those who find it important to provide children with equal opportunities in life.

3. Our stories are adjusted to the hands of our small readers. We also introduce a children´s paperback (bilderpocket in Swedish). The 70 gram book with it´s soft cover can easily be taken to the beach, the airplane, the car or the café. Good children´s books should always be near.
